Hello there again,

Have they made a app already which makes the Samsung Galaxy s have a good working Dualboot?

I would like to have a Dualboot on my SGS with the Original rom, and the second boot with as example Darky's rom? Is this already possible?

Thanks in advance,

DaViperian

Due to storage constraints that would not be feasible.

As you know the OS resides in the ROM drive which is already filled.

Peace.

And how about Installing another Android (other version same version which one suits best) on the external/internal SD? and then keep one Original and flash the other one?

Thanks in advance,

The whole point of the ROM drive is the security it brings.

If you get rid of the Read restriction you are open to all sorts of vulnerabilities.

Although since it's not be done before doing it solo on your machine would mean some sort of security just because noone else knows.

But you are looking for a solution outside meaning you don't know how to do it and hence you have to look for a provided solution which means it will become popular therefore you will be susceptible to malware practices.

Peace.

I beg to differ - ROM (Read Only Memory) was used in the olden days (in my generation it was VAX-11, Sinclair Spectrum, Vic-20 etc) as the only way to put some code in the computer before it could load anything else from other types of media. Without it you had to type in the boot loaded on the console keyboard every time you turned on your PDP-7 and friends.

But I'm digressing. Cool

Cheers,

Yes amos I know what you mean, but I was talking about it in context with today's need for security on these devices.

I meant why a ROM drive was implemented over a RAM drive on a Android Phone.

It makes good sense at a security stand point and it also provides a way to "Reset" the phone.

In todays world security is more important on something like a smartphone then it ever was.

My bad on saying:
The whole point of the ROM drive is the security it brings.

forgive me for saying that, but ROM drives serve a different purpose than the used to.

Peace.
