Hi
I  have(friends) Sgs1 (Gt-I9000) which was with 2.3.3.DDJV9

I tried updating it using odin3 1.70

http://www.samsunggalaxysforum.com/samsung-galaxy-s-updates/firmware-%28android-2-3-6%29-xwjvz-for-samsung-galaxy Crying-s-i9000/

Using Barosanuxxl XWJVZ

used s1_odin_20100512.pit as -----pit

CODE_I9000XWJVZ_CL762604_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.md5 as ----PDA

MODEM_I9000XXJVT_REV_00_CL1064602.tar.md5------- as phone

GT-I9000-CSC-HOME-MULTI-OXAJVT.tar.md5------ as csc

repartiton was ticked along with auto reeboot and f reset time

Then the odin log is

<ID:0/009> Added!!
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> CODE_I9000XWJVZ_CL762604_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.md5 is valid.
<OSM> MODEM_I9000XXJVT_REV_00_CL1064602.tar.md5 is valid.
<OSM> GT-I9000-CSC-HOME-MULTI-OXAJVT.tar.md5 is valid.
<OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
<OSM> Leave CS..
<ID:0/009> Odin v.3 engine (ID:9)..
<ID:0/009> File analysis..
<ID:0/009> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/009> Initialzation..
<ID:0/009> Set PIT file..
<ID:0/009> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!

It was showing set partition (above id com block)
for almost 8mins so I thought something is wrong and plugged out the cable and restarted it went to the BSOD logo and is now only entering download mode.....

I am really sorry as I know I shouldn't have interrupted the flashing . I just freaked cause nothing was happening.

After I removed the cable the log in odin was.....

<ID:0/009>
<ID:0/009> Re-Partition operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
<ID:0/009> Removed!!

Please help immediately

And with clear instructions so I do not make any mistake and restore the phone

Unplug the cable

Open Odin, put the files in it.

Hi thanks for the reply ........ feeling better now

Is it normal for odin to show set partition for such a long time and if yes then for how much time will it show??????

And if a pit file is added then repartition has to be ticked right
And should I flash the same xwjvz or something new such as xwjw1/xwjvu?????
Or the stock ddjv9
Thanks again
