If I understand correctly you are asking if it is alright to use Kies when rooted?
If so there is no Problem in doing so.

If you are asking if you need to root to disable USB debuging then I need to clarify that there is no need to root to disable USB debuging.

Peace.

Hi all,

I just get a galaxy S 16gb and a newbie for android, How can i know that my phone is root except through the pirate superuser icon? Below are the details after done root:

Model number : GT-I9000
Firmware version : 2.2
Baseband version : I9000DXJPB
Kernel version : 2.6.32.9 root@SE-S604#1
Build number : FROYO.EXJPE

After the root complete, is there any affect if didn't turn off the USB debugging mode?

By the way, can i know what are the lagfix going to helps? As i have get the OCLF 2.3.0 APK file put into my internal memory and install it. During install the lagfix 2.2 plus, it's prompting me to choose size of used to create a 'space' which i found that it consumed off space of my ROM but i can't locate it when it's reboot. Just found out that the size of my ROM is decreased.

Need some expert advise.

The fact that OCLF is working means that you are rooted.

If that is not the question please clarify.
