It seems like OCLF is working fine. IM not sure on the differences between the two methods of rooting or why you are having lag on contacts and keyboard - maybe try a hard reset and see how you go.

Since gingerbread (2.3) will be released soon I'm not sure it's worth the worry - about different methods of rooting.
I'm not sure if Gingerbread will be rootable for some time. It's supposed (hopefully - although there may well be a long delay) to be rolled out any day now. And Im sure you will find the firmware available on here if not through kies. It is advisable to upgrade to gingerbread as and when you can as this will remain virus free for sometime.

hope this helps a little.

SuperOneClick is for rooting.
Heimdall (Heimdall Frontend) like Odin for flashing a ROM or kernel.
You can use Odin/Heimdall on Windows OS. Heimdall may be used on Linux, too.

I recommend doing a soft Reset to alleviate the lag symptoms.

Please note that you will loose data so please back up before you do a soft Reset.

Another thing to note is you need to Disable Lagfix namely OCLF in your case before you do the soft Reset.

Peace.

Yes thats how you perform a Soft Reset.

As for Backup use Google Backup. Export your contacts to SDCard and the Import them back into Google Account.

I have 2 Q:

What is difference between hard and soft reset?
A Hard Reset is where do a Reset from an Alternative Menu or Key Combination.
A soft Reset is where you Initiate the Reset through the System or normal Menus.

The Difference here is for some reason the Soft Reset does a better job at doing the reset unlike the Hard Reset it's usually the other way round. A Reset basically restores Factory Setting sort of like how you got it new from the box. This doesn't however clear the cotents in your SD Card.

And i asked about download and recovery modes...is it necessary to have rooted phone to enter these modes?

No Root is a Privilege, rooted means having access to that privilege to change System files from within normal means.

Download Mode and Recovery Mode have nothing to do with being rooted or not, if you can't enter Download mode it maybe because it is disabled but you should still be able to Enter Recovery Mode

Peace.

I explicitly said you need to Undo the Lagfix.

The only way to fix this is to Reflash your phone now.

Technically OCLF is enabled or at least installed so you shouldn't have a laggy phone.

Either way there are ways to fix this but it depends if it's the way you want to go or are you comfortable the way it is

Peace.
