hey guys, dumb question. but i've read a few different topics on this but i want to find the correct link

my i9000   PDA I9000xwjvh       firmware version 2.3.3 gingerbread.xwjvh
                PHONE I900SRJV1
                CSC:I9000VNZJV1

could i please having the directions/link to the following (would prefer a video link, but anything will be of help)

unlocking the handset
rooting it and over clock the speed

well anything to make this the best of the best you can make this i9000

and ideas of a safe fast clocking speed not to mention i don't want to go from a 800 to a 5000 or anything remotely ridiculous i just want a good responsive cpu would a speed quadrant of 2000 - 2200 be safe and fast enough

The first step is to root your phone:
Download CF-Root_JVH version.zip extract it and the tar file flash it as PDA using Odin.

hmmm i have a problem now... kies works i have the USB drivers everything works fine but in download mode it says unknown device error 43 tried 2 other USB cables and different versions of the drivers.
Any advice?

Do you use Odin and Samsung's USB cable?

Yes i use a genuine USB (x2) the phone is only 2 weeks old (i drowned my last)
I have odin 1.30 i just find it weird that everything works until its in download mode.... very odd i think ..

yes, i've tried on and off ,it still comes up with
windows does not recognize the device error code 43 very frustrating because i can connect easily with the phone through kies but i uninstalled it, i have had no luck searching google either

yes, i reinstalled the driver, i even uninstalled the usb drivers and reinstalled them...still no luck...........with the phone on Odin picks it up not a worry.
would it have something to do with having these two apps "superuser" and "Darkyrom" on the phone? i haven't used them....

Are you speaking about this DarkyROM Tool?
Superuser: There is no need to do something with it.
It shows which apps. you can use with root privilegs.
