I have rooted my Galaxy S GT-I9000 to Darky's ROM v10.1. Don't know why really but so many people in all the forums rave about rooting so I did it expecting some kind of performance hike or something and I suppose it's a little less laggy but nothing wonderous.
Also there's the issue of moving apps to the SD Card.
Now this is confusing me so here are my questions:
1 The commonly referred to 'SD Card' it seems does not really mean an sd card but a chip on the phone? Is that correct?
2 Does moving all apps to this imaginary sd card have any benefit?
3 I have tried using apps like 'Apps 2 SD' and Superbox's App2SD but when I select a number of apps to move to the sd card, nothing happens. I have transferred adobe reader and a file manager one at a time but I have 50 apps to move and wish to move them in one go. Why can't I do this?
4 It appears when I now connect to KIES it tells me it cannot update my phone. Is that because it is now rooted?
5 If so, how do I now keep my phone updated?
6 Also, should I enable USB Debugging and Allow Mock Locations?
Thanks
