This is to confirm for those that are confused on whether they should flash gingerbread or not.

This particular ROM is the fixed build and you may flash it safely.

THIS IS NOT THE BETA.

When trying to flash make sure Re-Partition and PIT is not Selected.

It may help if you are on JPU plus.

Peace.

It gives me "md5 is invalid" for PDA file. Am i missing something? I tried to download it several times, it was all the same error.

Code:
<ID:0/008> Added!!
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> MD5 hash value is invalid
<OSM> PDA_XXJVK.tar.md5 is invalid.
<OSM> End...

Just upgraded with the rom from the second link. First impressions:
- it is suspiciously warm in the upper back side where the gps,wifi,3G antenna is located even if they are not ON.
- maybe it is just my impression but it is a bit slower than the last european version of 2.2.1.
- battery drains a bit faster than last 2.2.1.
- I expected a bit more form the new Gingerbread interface but 95% is the same as Froyo.
I will come back with more in a couple of days.

It seems like the "gpsd" is always "eating" 90% of the battery this is the cause of quick battery drainage and probably the warmth on the back of the phone. Any ideas, suggestions? Thanks in advance.

After 3 hrs of normal usage, internet activated and used to browse and download apps from Market on 3G the phone battery is completely dead. :-(. Looks like I will go back to 2.2.1

Hi,

I was on several ROMs like Eclair,Froyo:JPU,XWJS5,XWJS8, DocROM, Darky:9.2,9.3,9.4,9.5 and now10.0_beta(based on Gingerbread v2.3.2). My experience is:I charged and charge the battery every 1-2 days.I mean, battery drain doesn't depend on ROM. It depends on settings and usage.

Well actually is the first time for me when I encounter such battery drain. Normally in the same usage level it keeps me for one day. i saw some "battery drain advice" post @ xda so i will try that before going back to 221.

Hi all,

I just installed I9000XXJVK|2.3.3 using odin. Everything installed fine and phone is working.

But yesterday i ran into a weird bug. All my speed dial contacts run into a ussd code running  and then i get connection problem or invalid MMi code.

the same contacts work fine otherwise.

any ideas as to how to solve this?

also in running apps>all there is an app called "angry gps"

is that part of 2.3.3

thanks in advance
