Hi Folks,
Ive been a proud fath..... um a mean owner of SGS2 since the week of release on O2 UK, seen it the day it was first in our local O2 shop (Limavady, Co.Derry) and went home and ordered one straight away. Big change from an Iphone that i had barely no bother with in a yr and a half te having to send my SGS2 back 3 times already. Always the same prob "no service".
I sent it back to be replaced either with a new main board twice and a new fone the last time but this time i had had enuf. not having your fone for 3 seperate 10 day periods aint good so i googled the problem and it seems i wasnt the only one.
For some reason unbeknown to myself the efs folder gets corrupt and its a matter of rooting the phone, and replacing the corrupt files with backup files. scared the bejebus outa me but i found the simplest way to root was with CF-Root and then using an app from And Market called GSII Repair to fix the problem. within ten minutes my phone was back operational again without losing any files. Sweet.
Anyone that has the same problems and ur scared to root your fone (warranty issues) message me and ill talk you thru it.
