Hi all,
I recently switched over from iPhone OS to Android OS, and picked the Samsung Galaxy S over the HTC Desire. The switch was basically a vote of confidence in the Android open-source philosophy over Apple's cult approach. Hence my 'disappointment' when I realized I cannot update the Galaxy S to the new firmware (at least through Kies).
I live in Cyprus at the moment and it seems that most Samsung phones arrive here through Greece. I followed the directions to update, but Kies insists that I am running the latest firmware. SO, two questions if anyone could please help:
1. any information about 2.2 being rolled out in Greece/Cyprus?
2. is there another safe way to update? (is it worth it?)
BTW, Firmware: PDA:I9000XWJM1 / PHONE:I9000XXJM1 / CSC:JM1 (CYV). I will appreciate any help or insight you might have. Thanks,
Chris
