Having a phone upgrade due, I was having trouble choosing between an iPhone and the Galaxy S3.  After asking a few people about them, I took the momentous decision to have an S3 and have now had it for about one week.
I'm not a phone expert nor am I very technological, but I AM fond of gadgets  Big Grin so the differences in the S3 appealed to me.
Somehow all my contacts from my Blackberry appeared on the S3 without me doing anything which has both worried and impressed me! LOL.  I assume it was something to do with my bluethtooth, but who knows  Laugh  I was concerned, however when I couldn't delete contacts and it's taken me all week to find out - quite by accident I might add!  Anyway, so far so good.  I love that it's different so it will be staying....although I would love a laymans manual on what KIES is all about?  Undecided

Hello and welcome to the forums!

The S3 is Samsung's flagship for the moment so you've made the right decision. There's A LOT to like about the S3.

That said, you'd probably still need some tips. For those, take a look at the links in my signature below.

Regarding Kies, you really don't need it especially if the S3 can do over-the-air (OTA) updating. For file transfers, the phone can act as an external drive, all you need is a USB cable.

Anyway, hope to see you around!
