Everthing seemes fine right out of the box, but I have not  tried it much yet.

However, the Sync option in Kies for Outlook Notes is lacking!! This is a disaster! At user suppport they say it is there but they know (as usual) much less than I do myself.

Thing is that the T Memo applications is missing. In stead you only have the S Memo app which correspond to Pen Memo app on the TAB. It is for drawing rather than typing small memos. This is really not good - an idiotic thing to do!!

Furthermore, the Widget "Stared contacts" have gone (now you have added functionality in the contac app, but that is not nearly as good!). Whey force new ʞɔoɹ on us, when the old worked like breez....?

Also, of cause I know that the have not include an office app, which I htink is too bad as well.  Angry

Use AK notepad. It has a cloud sync feature so you can see your notes online or on other android devices.

Why does Samsung remove the posibility of using Notes in Outlook if I want? I can use 100 of alternative cloud services, but I don't want to go via the cloud. Have anyone seriously read the Terms & Conditions of these services? Do you know that everything you store there i) can go away any time and there is nothing you can do about it; ii) that it is scanned and used in stuffing you full of crap you don't want; iii) that "they" reserve the right to use and display this information as they like, and so it goes on.

Hello,

I thought I was the only one who was surprised.
I have lots of info stored in my notes and now I can't even sync them anymore...

I would like to have one reason why they omitted this from KIES,,,
That funny S-memo is for kids. I wish they would have told me before that the SIII was for children !!!!!!

I have the SII and the SIII and I got rid of my (rotten) apples, I really like these models but getting rid of syncing notes really sucks.

Hello,

I had a S II and it more than 100 notes.
All I synchronized with Samsung Kies. I sold it and bought the S II S III.
Now I can not sync notes from the S II S III because that Samsung Kies is not supported by what is incredible!
Yet this is a business phone and application notes should be equal in all such models.
This is a very relevant comments and I am very disappointed that I can not open.
The file from the S II I specifically saved in komjuteru called notes.smm and large is 469.6 KB.

Please help and solution to the notes in the S II switch to S III

Thank you in advance!

Hi. I just register in the site to see if you found a solution to sync NOTES in outlook with the Galaxy SIII. I'm a Blackberry user from more than 8 years and I'm looking after work with several Iphones (co-workers personal phones) and now the new Galaxy 3 from my wife how SERIOUS is the blackberry in term of Outlook sync and as an Mobile client solution. Since 10 years now Blackberry has been able to sync flawlessly with Outlook (notes, calendar, tasks and contacts)

Setting up email for Blackberry is 500% more easy as well. I don't even need to touch the device, you can setup 10 emails accounts just from RIM portal. Everything is done wirelessly and in seconds and without touching the device, you have everything setup.

Finally, do you know any way I can sync notes from Outlook to a brand new Galaxy S3?

Yes, in KIE only contacts, tasks and calendar are able to sync with outlook. Any idea how to sync notes? I'm very frustated with this issue, notes are always in the sync package since the times or old PALM devices.

An smartphone must be able to sync calendar, notes, contacts and tasks from Outlook and Lotus Notes. Is a huge issue in the new Galaxy S3!!!

There are third-party apps that sync Outlook Notes with Android. The reliable ones are backed by free phone support.

Do a Google Search for Sync Outlook Notes with Android and you'll see a number of such tools.

Thank you very much. I know there is tons of alternatives for sync, but I don't want to pay extra $$ for basic sync we expect in all smartphones since several years ago.

Samsung Galaxy S3 is definitely a great device but is not bussiness oriented.

I understand. You're not alone; many people don't want to pay for things they feel should be included for free, just like they were with older devices. However, modern mobile platforms are doing the bare minimum to support a full set of Outlook data because they want you to move everything to the cloud. Not everyone wants to do this yet.
