Hello friends...

I have a samsung galaxy s2 with a broken screen Crying.
I need to recover the data from it mostly contacts, photos and videos.

My USB port is not working properly as well as the phone never gets detected.
I dont have an insurance and cannot buy another screen as its very costly.

I have tried all possible ways to recover the data when I try to connect through Kies it
says Phone is locked. And the device is getting detected as Samsung Mobile USB Modem.

Please guys help me out to recover my data.

Thanks,

Raaj

Try to first download all the firmware for the Galaxy S2 from the samsung website and not use Kies. You can check if your phone gets detected and you can view the folders.

If you saved your contacts on the SIM card you should have no problem. If you put it on the internal SD card you have a different problem.

Please report about how it went.

After hours of messing around trying to get the data from my Samsung Galaxy S2 (with a broken screen), I found the answer!
I had the problem of Kies saying that my device was not recognised. Simple solution- Do not use kies! I downloaded something called "New PC Studio", and was able to get all of my pictures and videos from my phone! The only problem is that I couldn't get my contacts or memos etc. But I'm not too fussed as the pictures and videos were my main priority!
Before downloading PC Studio, make sure you computer is up to date with all installs and restart it after if you install anything new. Then download PC Studio online free of charge.

I have been looking for this answer for ages, so I hop I helped someone get their pic and vids from their phone!

Normally, if you do not write any data into the galaxy, all the data can be recoverd by this way:

I have tried it and success!

However, you said your USB can't use, why not try card reader ?

Dr.Fone for Android is an easy to use program which recovers contacts, messages, photos, music, video and more on your Android Phone. All the process only takes a few minutes. Keep data on your smartphone original, no damage, deletion or modification at all.

Have a try on it, the program works with most android phones like Samsung GALAXY, Motorola, LG Optimus, HTC, Sony, etc.
