You can backup your contacts to google or to the phone then copy that file to the PC, why does it have to be Kies.

Kies is ʞɔoɹ, it makes me angry and sleepless, only one other Software has given me such grief Windows 98.

Peace.

Kies would have to be the flakiest most unstable peice of crap s/w out there. Samgung make a phone that rocks, a Iphone killer, a mkt leader... then they let they deadbeat techy engineers invent and develop a disaster like Kies that simply doesnt work for soooooo many peolpe.  get your act together Samsung and bloody well fire the whole useless s/w engineering department that originally invented Kies. its akin to the disaster that WAS  windows Vista.  M/S went back to the drawing board and re-did it all and released Windows 7. along the way sacked the head of the dept for Vista.  so too Samsung should do to the Kies Team.  its a joke.

they should release s/w that obviosuly works.  its just a huge frustration to eveyone.   imagine releasing a fast car that had problems starting every morning.  yeah good one samgung kies developers... take a bow you gits !!  hope you get sacked !!  you deserve it.  so much so it almost drove me back to iphone !!  techy twits, dont  you love them.  oh and ring customer support and they dont blame keys but your computer !!  fabulous stuff guys !!

IronSigh said it best...if you can't use Keis for whatever reason. Just make sure you have done an updated sync with your phone and Google. Then open Google Contacts on your PC. and Choose MORE, then EXPORT....Then you can chose what format you want. If you use Microsoft Outlook, choose the CSV option and Open OUTLOOK and IMPORT that file and they are now on your PC...

If this is something that you want to work for you (Keis) then make sure you have the latest update ( as of Dec. 6, 2011 I have version 2.1.0.11112_41). Open KEIS up, click on HELP, CHECK FOR UPDATES. Once you have latest, then left click (once) on SGH-T989. Nect click on IMPORT/EXPORT tab towards the right. Then Click on EXPORT. Chose CONTACTS and over to the right, choose EXPORT. Save that file in your KEIS folder. From there, I don't know what you want to do with it.. It's my understanding, that you will need a program, (possibly Keis) to view them. I don't use it, so I can't be of further assistance. Perhaps someone else who is familiar with KEIS knows?

I was able to Export my contacts with out any problems...

i use gSyncit, software i purchased for my PC.  I've set it up to automatically sync contacts, calendar, tasks and notes with my Gmail.  Tne Gmail syncs automatically with my phone.  I now can add, change or delete anywhere within these and it automatically syncs up and down the food chain twice a day.  I love thos software - i think it costs about $20US.  Best $20 i ever spent on software i think!
