I have recently upgraded my Samsung Galaxy SII firmware to Android version 2.3.5
Now, when I go to contacts and try to open anyone of these contacts, it gives me an error, "The process android.process.acore has stoppd unexpectedly. Please try again"

I cannot open or edit any contacts, I cannot even add any new contacts. Since the day I have updated my phone's firmware to version 2.3.5, I have not been able to add any new contacts.

Please help as this issue is disturbing me a lot. Or kindly tell me a way to downgrade the firmware back to the previous one.

Have you tried factory reset..?? (resolves most force error closes).. if persists wipe cache partition.. surely will do the job, i do both after upgrade/flash delete any old firmware files..
* be aware this will delete your data - so backup all data *..

How did you update your firmware..?? (most likrly through kies)..

have you tried installing another phone dialer from market to check if problem still occurs..?? HUH?

Hi Rash,

Thanks for your help. Actually this started happening a few weeks back but after I reset my phone to factory settings by using the non-GUI method (pressing lock, home and volume UP key), it's working fine now.

Let's wait for the new firmware  Smile Ice Cream sandwich.

Regards,
