Texting through my laptop when Samsung connected by USB

Hi There
Is there a program or download that I can use on my laptop to send texts when I connect my Samsung Galaxy S2

Hi,

Is not this the same as simply entering your text via your laptop email program and sending it to a cell user?...without being tethered.
I often send texts to my cell users via my laptop, when at home. I know for my Verizon buds (USA), it's xxxxxxxxxxxx@vtxt.com, for AT&T buds, it's xxxxxxxxx@txt.att.net.
Not sure though, across the pond.

I send SMS from my laptop using Kies Air which you can download from Samsung Apps or CrossTxt which you can download from the Market. Both however require the phone to be connected by WiFi.
