Hi

I just got my phone today and trying to figure out why my message tone isnt heard when a message comes through. Ive been through all setting options and even the test there is audible but when I get one, the phone just vibrates.

I tried it off vibrate but doesnt change it..

Any suggestions?

I had this issue for Whatsapp, I was scratching my head on this one, I finally figured out somehow the the Ringtone was set to Silent.

Check you notification Tone.

Sorry to hijack your posting. But my case is that i found that the tone is too low.
Anyone here found that the ringtone/sms tone is too low, like me?
I google it, but found that no one have this problem? or is it me only?
I have tried changing to new tones, but just not loud enough for me.
I have set the volume to the highest, but i still find that it is not loud enough.
Any advise?

Yes there is an Issue where the battery saving feature builtin seem to compensate by reducing the volume automatically.

I think it's a bug.

I flashed the Custom ROM and I don't see the issue, My guess is you are on KE7.

Please tell me what you see when you Goto Settings-> About->Build.

Ok actually I was playing around with the settings it was still doing it with my Ringtone. Sometimes

I sat down and went through the settings trying out different things.

Changing Vibration to always made a big difference in the ringing. I don't know why.

I guess the problem is the placement of the speaker.

Put in your pants and the speaker gets covered.

Try the following play any song and put one finger over the speaker, it's like 90% decrease in volume.

Hi there,
I bought my samsung galaxy s3 last week and have exactly the same problem. I have also fiddled with all the possible settings but without success. I have also noticed that the screen sometimes freezes for few seconds when you unlock it.
If anyone has any possible solution to this.. it would be great help.
