didn't really find an answer there in that link... most of that post was 6 months old and only a small handful referenced daily briefing app.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S.  Daily briefing has worked fine until the most recent update a few weeks ago and now is completely gone from my phone. (not able to find via 'manage applications').
Firmware 2.3.3, Gingerbread.XWJVI.

As far as I can tell, Daily Briefing is a Samsung widget associated with touchwiz. Isay this because I'm using LauncherPro and Daily briefing is not available. If your update doesn't have touchwiz, it won't have that widget.

Thanks for the response Casz.
I got on the phone today with Samusung Social Hub.  It seemed too much of a coincidence to me that both a user of the Galaxy S2 and myself with the Galaxy S, as well as I have seen another reference in here about the daily briefing problem with the Tab...  It sounded like there were a couple issues with the new Android update and the touchwiz software, so they were definitely interested in the problem and will be getting back to me in the next day or so.  I'll post a response as soon as I find anything out.

Hi,

Same problem here! Daily Briefing, which I loved, disappeared after an update.
If someone can help and tell me how to get it back, I'd be very grateful.
BTW the instructions wd have to be REALLY simple! Many thanks.

PS. I've just seen that this topic has had 2.5k hits. Obviously there is a problem.
Isn't there anyone from Samsung who can help?!
