Is there a way to remove the Lock Screen Wallpaper? Coz it gets irritating to swipe it aside whenever I want to use the phone. I know there's no need to swipe it when you have the screen lock. But i don't want both.

I just want the home wallpaper to appear when I press the Power button. Is this possible?

Yes, there is a very easy way. Just use WidgetLocker - you can remove the method used for lock screen completely and use its interface which is far better.

This would mean WidgetLocker will always be running but my tests so far shows that it's barely using any battery and has not caused any visible changes.

I'm running Launcher Pro as well and have Homesmack installed.
Not sure if it needs the above but sometimes if changes are required to the home screen/lockscreen - homesmack allows you to launch software like this (I had originally installed HomeSmack because Launcher Pro didn't even give me the option to click the Open button after it installed - Installing Homesmack fixed this for me. Not sure if WidgetLocker is dependent on this as well)

First try installing WidgetLocker and if it doesn't work try installing HomeSmack which should allow you to launch it.
Again not exactly sure if this is how it works but it's working fine for me - just thought I'd let you know what I have running in the event you run into any problems.

Hope this helps

Cheers,
- AndroidFreud
