Hi,
I just got the Samsung Galaxy S2

I just copy and paste the file from PC to phone / media folder.

Is it the correct place to put the song (mp3) files?

Secondly, the file name or song info is messed.
they are messed with monster words.

How to fix it?

...I have done the same as you and it works ok, but I use the extra_sd folder, which is my second sd card.

...I have use the winamp to transfer many songs from the pc to the phone and I use the same folder.

...but you have to set the usb mass storage mode otherwise the pc may not recognize the phone.

...first go to settings => wireless and network => usb utilities =>usb mass storage

...you will see the mass storage window with a button that say: connect mass storage

...now connect the micro usb cable from the pc to the phone and hit the button

...open your winamp, you will see your device on the device section on left panel.

...now transfer songs by drag it from your local media to the device or sync all of it if you want.

...if you connect the phone to pc without setting the mass storage the pc winamp may freeze.

...I hope I explain myself

...good luck!

...sorry I made a mistake, before you connect the cable you must hit the button that ask you to connect a mass storage device then proceed to connect the usb cable.

...sorry for the inconvenience.
