Take care!
Samsung do not admit it, but from dealers I have learned that several users have had phone crashes under latest firmware update of i9100 via (usb) Kies in latest versions (My situation: win 7, Danish Kier ver.)
Samsung support have earlier admitted a not yet solved problems by using USB, to move files between Kies and Galaxy i9100. This problem and the phone crash under firmware update is most likely connected.
My storry:
Phone repaired after crash at firmware update via Kies at Windows 7, I called Samsung support again.
(Tjek out this topic: http://www.samsunggalaxysforum.com/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-help-desk/samsung-firmware-update-crashed-and-phone-is-'dead'/ )
I would be sure that my i9100 did not crash again. Message from help desk was OK to update, but i had to reinstall Kies in latest ver. And I did so.
But what happened? The firmware update crashed again. Samsung support was wary sorry. An I got the feeling that it is a known issue. By phone dealer, a major seller on the Danish marked, I was told that my Phone was not the first with this problem.
Why in the heck do Samsung not inform abut the problems? - as a benefit to costumers…
Ps: Galaxy S2 i9100 is a GREAT product, but Samsung’s software Kies spoil the pleasure.
