Can't get out on web. ICS. Wait before getting ICS

Didn't have this problem before update to ICS.  AT&T sg ll.  when I press web ( blue) globe on bottom of phone screen goes all white then goes all black then no buttons work for 30 seconds.  Then app force closes.  Down loaded opera and it works.  Any suggestions to fix problem.  Did a hard reboot but still has problem.  Tried to uninstall and install but app won't uninstall.  Called AT&T and they said they would call back in 3 days.  Haven't heard back yet. 
     I tried not to down load ICS but to wait till all the bugs were all worked out. Wished I would have waited!!!!!!!!!    AHHHHHH!!!!!!
