Hi all

I have a strange problem, I can't connect to my wifi at home, I have tried 3 different routers
2 Netgear and 1 Belkin. Same respons "acquire ip address" and after a few seconds the phone says that it failed.
I have a lot of other wifi gadgets that is connecting without any problem at all.
My wife has the same problem with her HTC Desire.
I was able to connect at work with no problem. It's strange when I have tried with 3 different routers. I have tried different security wpa/wep/wpa2 and no security. All the same. The Mac address filter is on but I'm sure that I typed in the right addresses to allow.

All help is most appreciated

Best regards
Fobic

Try disabling your MAC filter and put the router on broadcast to see if you see your network and connect to it. I find MAC's picky because a device can have several. To get the WlanMac address key *#*#232338#*#* on your dialer. Your screen should go black and the MAC in tiny print will be in the top left. Since I just want to protect against the drive-by pron downloader I'm using WEP and the long (24 character) key.

Yesterday I noticed that the WiFi symbol was not on, so I checked turn WiFi on. The message "ununable to save the network" and unable to scan network" appeared followed by WiFi turning off. Anyone have any ideas? I did a soft reset an am trying to avoid a Hard Reset. Thanks for any help that you can give me.

Did you try pulling out and leaving it out for a few minutes before restarting?
