I got we fi from the market. It connects me whenever the phone fails.

Thank you for contributing a solution.

Repped.

This would further suggest that the froyo build is buggy.

Can you please tell me what Build you are running. (Type *#1234# in Dialer).

Peace.

I have an excellent signal but after entering password there is no option to connect, just WPS PIN or cancel.  Can the galaxy not connect to a secure wifi network? the user manual only says to select network enter password and connet. No trouble adding laptops to the wifi network, why doesn't this device work? thanks

Seeing that you have not yet responded to Casz question I assume you have somehow fixed your problem.

As I was experimenting to recreate this problem, I found out that having Voodoo lag fix on some builds messes up the ROM Drive. This effects all sorts of settings, not just the WIFI.

I then found out with further experimenting that some builds work better than others on my phone. So there maybe some revision going on with the drivers or the Hardware it self.

I doubt it is Hardware, it is more likely to be a Software bug. I have come to the conclusion that most people having this problem can solve it by getting a third party application to control their connection needs.

I found Wifi Manager from Market to be a good replacement where the built-in Wifi Manager was incompetent.

Peace.

I went to my router and clean the lease info of DHCP and then reconnect, it works now. Wish this can help anybody who has this problem.

Thanks JJ. People forget that the problem may not be their phone. When you renew the DHCP lease, all existing attached  units automatically re-attach.

Hi! Got the same problem but I did not stop til i fixed it. Hope this works for you as well...

1. Turn off your router
2. On your SGS go to settings, tap and hold the connection your having problems with...
3. Click forget... by this time (after this, the said wifi connection should no longer be on your list)
4. Manually create a new connection...
5. Switch on your router again and wait for you SGS recognize/detect it
6. Enter your wpa/wpa2 password then you're good to go

I am losing the plot, and about to end up with a very broken phone :s
Upgraded software via Kies. WIFI no longer connecting. 'Disabled, secured with WPA/WPA2 PSK' message. I have factory restored my phone 3 times. I have rebooted my router, I have my settings in front of me (no, cant have been changed, I am the only one with access, and other devices work) I have done everything people have suggested on here. There is not a problem with my router, and my phone was working fine until after the update. Anyone any suggestions before this phone just ends up as an expensive doorstop?

Thanks! Happy
