Fairly often, when I try to send a text message it will try to send for a little while, then say "Failed". Sometimes it will do this 2 or 3 times before the message actually sends. btw this happens even at full signal strength. Any ideas on how to fix it (Carrier: Bell, Canada).

This used to happen to me a lot until I checked which is the stronger signal in my area (gsm 2G). Once I set it to gsm, everything's full bar all the time and I hardly ever get that annoying failed notice unless I'm roaming in a weak signal area.

Check settings>wireless and network>mobile networks>network mode.

NOTE: gsm=2g, cdma=3g

I don't have that option on my phone, but I can change the "input mode" in SMS settings between GSM alphabet and unicode (or automatic). Will this help?

Thanks

I think it must be a network time because I just resend the message and it goes so there was nothing "wrong" on my end.

Yeah it's not the worst problem, because the messages usually send first time, and when they do "fail" they usually send the second time. It's just annoying buying a $600 phone that doesn't even send text messages properly.
