Hello forum,

is it possible to silent the phone ring when there's an incoming call? And if so, how?

Thank you.

But that silents the phone for all the incoming calls.

Maybe I was misleading, but I meant to silent the phone when it is ringing for an incoming call but without answering or rejecting it.

Thank you.

FWIW, I've also found two related applications. One is Silencer and the other one is SilenceGesture. The former works fine whereas the latter doesn't seem to work on my SGS.

Hello,

after some time dealing with this, I've just found that pressing the volume button (up or down) when the phone rings for an incoming call it does mute the ring. However, it is not as fancy as Silencer Big Smile

Regards.

instead of installing any software why not you to use power button, when the phone ring and you want to silent it then you just press the power button... thats it..

My wife's phone does this.  Mine does not.  And we both have identical phones.  Does anyone know how this is configured (using the power button to silence the phone when it is ringing)?
