does anybody know if it is possible to default to the gmail calendar in stead of to "my calendar"?
i sync via google calendar with thunderbird so to have all events also on my laptop i do not want to use the internal calendar but when i make a new event on the galaxy each time i have to manually select the gmail calendar.

Go to Calendar then hit the menu key and select Calendars. You can check off the calendars you want to show up in the application. Then when I create a new item you see the default calendar. Press the little arrow to the right and a popup window with radio buttons will appear. When you select your calendar there, it remains the default until you change it.

Try the search or check the how to thread before asking a question.

hi,

thanks for your info but i already tried your way of setting the default: "Press the little arrow to the right and a popup window with radio buttons will appear. When you select your calendar there, it remains the default until you change it"

sadly when i do this the default switches back to "my calendar" and does not stay.

hopee there are some more ideas.

When I was on 2.1 I had to tell it I wanted to use the google calender all the time. It wasn't until 2.2 the google calendar could be the default. Have a tried a different calendar app? There should be some free ones available.

This was resolved for me with the upgrade to 2.2 I like the Samsung calendar as well and as long as I remember to change the appointment calendar as I was entering it wasn't a big deal. And I enter stuff from various computers as well.
