Can someone tell me if the Galaxy S and Galaxy I9000 are the same phone? I have recently upgraded my phone is due to arrive tomorrow. However I need to get a case for it but on ebay the cases are I9000 and would this be the right one for the Galaxy S???? I know the case as got the cut outs etc but dont want to order something if its not the right one.

I phoned direct to Samsung and they say they have not produced a case for it yet?

Yes, it's the same.

We're here at Samsung Galaxy S, GT-i9000.

You got the correct information, Samsung have not release any case for it yet.

I'm using Zenus Case.

That is a common pouch, made for any device that fits. Quality don't seems that good, in the picture.

The Zenus, though expensive, is made only for the Galaxy S and fitted perfectly. It's made with high quality leather. Looks and feels superior.
There are 2 types, the Folder Type (with a flip cover) and the Bar Type (without cover, only for the back).

Doesn't your "expensive" Galaxy S deserve the Zenus?   Wink Wink

This is mine.
I got myself with an Anti-Fingerprint Screen Protector, too. It came in a 2 pieces pack, which also fitted perfectly.

Picture taken by Omnia II. Actual size reduced to 25%.

I guess it does deserve to be in a case but I just cant justify spending that amount if I am honest but I am sure I will find something suitable.

This is the case I have ended up buying £16 but it was something that I really wanted to protect my phone.

Do I still need one of those rubber shock things surrounding the phone?

I got a leather case bundled along with my Samsung Galaxy S I9000, it fits perfectly (of course, being by them itself).

Did you guys not receive this as part of the boxed bundle?

P.s. Offtopic but after knowing that the glass is a gorilla glass make, I hardly am scared while handling the phone roughly Sticking out tongue
