S 2 Using 1gig data a week without being used

hi everyone, my s2 is using about 1 gig of data a week even when not being used, seems to be getting worse each month, Telstra (Australia) said it is downloading 200-250mb at a time but I have no idea where the data is being used. It is used only for business. Receive about 50 emails a day.

I have had the phone since last July. No problem for the 1st 6months and was using 2 gig a month in total.

Telstra advised me to try turning on packet data only when checking emails. Only other thing I have running is sync background data.

Only apps I have running are Evernote, Smarta, box.net and maps.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks for that greatly appreciated, I have been switching the packet data off after using but it a pain to be constantly switching it off and on.

Will give the app a go.
