A word from your friendly moderators!

RulesPlease consult the forum rules before posting, they can be found here:
http://www.samsunggalaxysforum.com/index.php?topic=30.0
AdditionsThe rules should be clear enough, however I will repeat some points for emphasis and post some additions here as well.
Use the search - the powerful function in a function - USE IT!
Check the How, what and where thread before posting for general FAQ questions
It can be found here:
http://www.samsunggalaxysforum.com/index.php?topic=709.0If none of the 4 categories fit or you are unsure, post in the general section. It will be moved if we deem it suitable for the 4 categories.
Format of post desiredTopic: Specify the problem as shortly as you can - "Help a noob" or "I am noob" serves no purpose.
Within the content, specify the firmware and which version of galaxy S you have.
Anything else we need to know should be added as well (e.g. kies problem? Let us know your windows or mac version) (Any mods to firmware?)
Below is a slight adaption from XDA forums:
Saying thank youThis forum comes with a "karma" button. While for example if you post a question and others help you out, saying "thank you" is nice, in many threads saying thank you only serves to clutter to thread. Please do not post a comment saying nothing more than "thank you" in these threads - instead perhaps consider applauding the person to give him an increased karma rating.
This also helps in letting other people take his advice seriously.
Posts in the wrong sectionPlease handle these threads in the following way:
Check that nobody else has already posted that the thread is in the wrong section. Do not clutter the thread with notices about how the thread starter is in the wrong place, one notice is enough!
If you're the first, post that the thread should have been (for example) in the Hardware or software section instead of the kies section, in a kind and respectful way, and ...
report the post, putting something like "not kies, please move to either hardware or software" in the comment box.
Anything you would like to add or request for e.g extra sections?
Feel free to post it in here, but please remain on-topic.
The end!
Hope this is helpful and everyone will abide it to the best of their abilities. Thank you for coming and have a nice day!
