Hi Guys,

I would like to know if it is possible to hard reset my phone without bricking it. ("wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition")

In another website i read: "The "wipe data/factory reset" option will restore your phone to the original configuration of the firmware YOU LAST INSTALLED (including any updates made via update.zip)"

i think i don't have my original update.zip since the froyo update..

the case is that, I uninstalled a few apps included with the phone with titanium backup. (should've used freeze method)

without these apps installed, can i still factory reset?

Thanks!

If you didn't root your phone, there's no adverse effects on your phone doing a factory reset. No need to worry about bricking it, or even uninstalling apps. The factory reset is there to help you quickly return it to the error free, clean firmware state. Don't be afraid something will go wrong, just backup what you need first.

Hi Kimputer,

Unfortunately, i DID root my phone and on top of that, i deleted some stock applications which were included with my phone.. =X

would flashing be the only option for this situation?

Regards,

Chris

Just googled it, apparently, if you factory reset it, you don't get those uninstalled packages back, but you will keep your root.
