Hi, i've set up my hotmail account on the galaxy s to push email, all the settings work and i've set it to push every 30mins, but it just seems to push them through occasionally like maybe once a day. I can set it to push every 5 mins and send a few test emails and it doesn't always pick them up either? any ideas what i am doing wrong?

The whole idea of push mail is to receive the email as soon as someone sends it, no need to check it frequently. Are you using Galaxy S' stock email? I don't know if Hotmail support push email, but I know that the stock email doesn't support it. Try K-9.

Edit: Someone told me that the samsung email app supports push email but I still can't get it work on mine yet Crying

Hello there,

Same issue here, have you managed to get it working? Actually, both my Yahoo Mail Plus and my Hotmail are not working with Samsung Galaxy S Email App. Don't know what to do...

No, it never works, I don't think it is actually support push email at all. I end up using K-9 Mail which works brilliantly Happy

Although it doesn't support push email, it looks like they have it fixed it in leaked Froyo firmware so it will now get emails when you set it to check frequently.

I think something has happend.
Mine worked fine with 2x Gmail accounts and 1x Tiscali.
No problems for three weeks, then today it has stopped working altogether, I have to click on to REFRESH in the account setting to make the phone comunicate.
Im getting more and more pissed of with this phone, i did think it was the Dogs*******, but i am now seriously thinking i should just change my handset.
