Cripes, this really bites.

I accidentally disconnected my SGS from my PC without turning off USB mode, and now a message pops up saying that the "USB Device is not recognized" whenever I try and re-connect it.

Umm... Anyone experience this sorta problem yet? And is there a way to fix it? Short of doing a Factory Reset or something... That'd suck. For me.

I've only ever done it that one time... And even up til now, my PC still says that the device isn't recognized.

Think I'll need to go to a service center?

Hm.. A quick Google search has resulted in some strange solutions.. One of the more successful ones is just to simply Shut Down your computer, unplug the power cable for a few minutes and plug it back in, and see if it works.

Btw, disconnecting your Galaxy S without turning off USB mode, didn't cause the problem I do it all the time Big Smile. Good luck!

Whoops, been a while since I logged on to this site XD

Anyway, problem solved. Turns out it was a hardware problem, and most likely the fault of faulty manufacturing, according to that guy at the service center...

Good news is that my phone's now faster than ever. Bad news? EVERYTHING got wiped. That was to be expected, I suppose, but you think he'd warn me about that... I lost a lot of Kodak moment-type pictures that day.

... Grrrr.
