Open "Contacts" and choose the contact that you wish to apply a different ringtone...

Tap on the Menu button...

Select [Edit]...

Scroll down until you see [Ringtone]...

Tap on it and select [Sound] to choose your own audios from any folder or [Phone ringtone] to choose from a list of the device's buildin audios.

I don't get the ringtones option because my contacts are in Google. Is there a quick way to transfer google contacts to the phone?

You do have the Ringtone option for Google contacts.

Open the contact, tap on [Menu] > [Edit]...

Move to "Phone" of the contact by tapping on the [Phone] icon on top...

Scroll down and you'll find the option to set a Ringtone for it...

Can't find a direct moving/copying of Google contacts to the phone, but you can copy them to your SIM first, then, from your SIM, copy them to your phone.

I don't have the copy to SIM option and when I open the contact I only have the google tab - a the thrill of branding  Undecided <- I'm using this icon a lot lately. Bell wasn't quite so intrusive on the Omnia 2.

I also am experiencing the same issue. I do not have the "ringtone" option in the contact information because the contact is in my google contacts. I also do not have the "phone" tab as described here, or the "copy to sim" option. Instead of a "google" and "phone" tab, I have two "google" tabs.

And from what I understand, if I were to copy the contact from my google contacts to my phone, then the contact would no longer sync with my online google information? This is also not good.

I had the same problem because all my contacts are stored on google. My solution was to create a local contact on my phone which only contains the name, all other fiels are empty. This contact on my phone is then linked to the google-contact and now I have both tabs, google and phone and I can choose a ringtone.

Here is a list of apps for that job (german forum, but the names of the apps should be international  Wink Wink):
http://www.pocketpc.ch/android-apps/80191-suche-traffic-per-app-uberwachung.html#post551402
Some of them only show the 3g/umts-traffic, some also the wifi-data.
I used 3G watchdog for some month and it worked without any problems for me.

I'm with bell, and they have an app designed just for that purpose. A big bonus is that using this app doesn't incur data charges.

Its called Bell Mobility Self Serve, dunno if other carriers have something similar or not.

I have a Samsung Epic 4G, can I have ringtones for certain contacts and still have the speak caller ID for others?  When I turn the speak caller ID on, it seems to override all the ringtones I set for individual contacts that I would like to have a ringtone for.  I like having the speak caller ID on for other people and especially I like it speaking the number that is calling me for callers not in my contacts.  But I also like having funny ringtones for my husband and mom.  I hope there is a way to do this.

It has flash on the camera but I don't know about the program Flash.

The Samsung Galaxy S has not yet been seen with a flash.

There have been some claims about a flash online (and not from anyone who might be "in the know" either), but the Samsung Galaxy S review units at CTIA 2010 in March did not have a camera flash, and the Samsung spec sheet for the phone does not list one either.

That said, the Samsung press release photos for the Galaxy S do NOT include any pictures of the rear of the device, making it possible that they're considering integrating an LED flash into the final production unit.

But we need to end this rumor now: the Samsung Galaxy S does not currently have a camera flash that we are aware of, and you should not expect to see the device ship with a flash.

On Oct. 27 I bought a Samsung Galaxy S Mesmerize from US Cellular and it definitely has a flash (I'm still seeing stars after taking a photo of myself to make sure)
