Does anyone know how to delete photos from the Gallery? On me phone touching and holding the photo does not delete it. It only adds a check mark. Some how when I downloaded my contacts from Google I also got my entire Picasa Library. I need to remove most of these photos. Help...

Click on the photo and then it will tick it, bottom left is a little box with 2 lines on it then click that and then it gives you the option to delete.
Hope this is of help to you.

Touching and holding the touch does select (tick) the photo, but as soon as I touch the double bars, the tick goes away (deselects the photo). It never gives me the option to delete.

While in my gallery app, I just long-touch a photo and an option to delete comes up at the bottom.

Alternatively, you can touch the picture, then touch the menu button on the bottom right of the screen. The delete (dustbin icon) option should come up.

I'm not sure about Flickr, I would think so.  I use photobucket and it syncs flawlessly.

After talking with a tech rep at T-Mobile help desk, we discovered under "Settings" , Accounts and sync, Your gmail account .com, there is a setting for Picasa Web Albums - uncheck that and the Picasa photos go away, leaving the Gallery with just the photos taken by the phone.

@Purplezinger:
Have you guys install some additional file manager? In my settings for Picasa album (per your mail above), it says “Sync Picasa Albums” and there’s no option for ‘unchecking’ as such  Crying
Also, as you mentioned above in the gallery as soon as I click on delete it says ‘no files selected’, and when I select, the option doesn’t come HUH?

I got the same dilemma. I can't remove the pictures previously downloaded from picassa. I already stopped google sync but it is still there. I can't delete it online because those pictures are linked to my blog. I just want to remove it on my gallery folder.
I got a suggestion to remove/refresh cache but I don't know how to do it. Hope somebody here can help.

your gallery is probably messed up. It happens sometimes in Froyo.
Fix: Go to Settings > Applications > All > Media Storage > Clear data / Force close. Reboot phone.

It will take a long time to scan all media, let it finish. Reboot phone again. All should be well
