Dear All Gurus,

I have noticed that my phone is starting lag as the days go by. I have read through this forum but still dont really understand on how to "flash" or "upgrade" the phone. Is there anyway to make my phone to be running smoother? I have checked on the phone usage and dont seem to show anything running, but the phone seems to be laggy still. Even after i restart the phone, it seems to be the same.

Thanks in advance ya.   Big Smile

Cheers.

Hi. I've had my Galaxy for 2months now and I am very dissapointed with it. The phone works slow and it lags heaps. Specially the keyboard lags a lot, and the mail client and switching between apps.  I updated the firmware a few days ago and now it is working slower than ever. I regret I did not get an Iphone 4 instead, as i was very satisfied with my iphone3. Now I can only hope Samsung gets their heads out of their A***** and come up with a working update.

Android phones need a task killer or some sort of memory boost app because it multitasks which means that apps can and do run in the background. So you have to keep these in check.

I use memory booster to clean up memory as well as kill apps I dont need running.

Theres also another option called lag fix but it requires that you root your phone. Those that did this have confirmed amazing results.

Thanks for your tip. My keyboard lags when typing simple sms also. I frequently use the RAM administrator in the buildt in app but still the phone works slow. One would think Samsung could produce a working phone without having to download a bunch of apps to administer it.
Will rooting the phone make it more prone to viruses etc?

Thanks for this. I will consider rooting the phone. Does anyone else experience similar problems? Does anyone know when next update will be ready?

Ok...forgive me for a stupid question:
Is the update for a newer version of 2.2 or is it the 2.2 version of the firmware. I have already updated to v 2.2..

Wow. Your question is not stupid, but very complicated  Laugh

When did you update your firmware?

Goto your [Settings] > [About phone], scroll to the bottom and show/tell me what it said on the last 5 rows.
