I am a person that leaves his phone on the charger overnight. However the screen that informs us that it is totally charged of course comes on and stays on all night long. I am wondering:
1. Does it hurt the phone to charge all night long?
2. Does this screen have the capability of burn in if something stays on all night long?
Thanks.
This in fact does cause a screen burn, i was playing around with my phone this morning, updating apps and what not, and when the message would scroll around to say something was installing or finish, i would notice a ghost of an image from my 3G bars alarm clock and battery and clock are...i am not happy with this one bit, as i as well charge my phone at night and when the finish charging happens the screen stays on, or if i get a text message.
BTW my screen and phone get extremely hot after being charged at night, my charger is cool to the touch tho, so that there is an indicator that my phone's display stays on all night.
hopefully there is an update for this, or hopefully this is fixed in gingerbread aka android 2.3 but i am within my rights as the consumer to get a new phone seeing that this is in fact a function of the OS and hardware from the manufacturer, so i will be getting a new phone...i dont like burnt images in my screen.....
