I have just got a Samsung Galaxy S after only ever having Nokias. It's a huge change but am slowly getting used to it. The biggest complaint I have is a simple one though - is there not a light that flashes to notify you that you have a text or missed call? Obviously I know there is a ringtone at the time but I'm talking about if I've not heard it the first time. It's a real pain having to constantly turn my phone on to check and this runs down the battery. Thanks for your help.

Like a little LED notification? I don't believe there is such a thing since all of the notifications come by way of either ring/vibrate/screen icon.

I forget just now - someone will know ....
Do the Status Bar missed call/received msg icons display when just turning screen on (without inputting password)?
