Hi,

Just bought Galaxy S and installed some apps that uses google's speech recognition, which should be in-built in android 2.1.

However, none of the apps (such as handcent sms, talk to me cloud, all from android market) seems to be able to activate it.

Is there some settings to be done or is this an issue with singapore samsung sets?

The weird thing is that I can use Voice Dialer and Vlingo with speech recognition.

Any help?

Google Speech Recognition is a download from the Android Marketplace.

Thanks, but what is the name of the app? Can't seem to find anything called Google speech or voice recognition from the market...I mean, none of them are from google.

Thanks, but what is the name of the app?

It's named "Google Search by voice" from "Google Inc."

I don't seem to be able to find any apps called "google speech recognition" in the abdroid market.

Something wrong with my phone?

I can't get any app that uses speech to work, except for Voice Dialer which is pre-installed.

Any help?
