This is really getting annoying. Any MP3/Vide files which I transfer through USB Mass Storage are not detected when it goes "Scanning for Media". It works through Kies and Webharing Wifi Transfer app...until I reboot the phone, then its not seen by the phone anymore!

Everything works fine if I transfer it through an external SD card. I only have a 2gb one though so it really doesn't cut it.

HELP

I too have an issue where I can see my music when I connect to my mac, but the media player (I tried both the regular one and Meridian) do not see it.

Files does not see the music either.  Is this a problem with the phone?

I transfered my tunes using mass storage mode for some and by dropping them on my SD card with the SD card in my laptop. Then I dragged them onto my internal SD card so there is something not quite right. Can you check to see if you have any files starting with a "." in the music folder? This would stop the Samsung media player from cataloging but maybe not other players.
