Installation Error-Insufficient Storage Available, Any Suggestions?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant and have been able to download apps from the market without any problems. Over the past week i tried to download a couple of apps, but none of them downloaded, i'm getting a message reading "Installation error- Insufficient storage available". It makes no sense considering i have 2 gb's free on my internal sd card and i have deleted a bunch of apps as well, but no luck! I don't know what else to do and need someone's help, any suggestions to correct the problem?

You may have to bite the bullet and do a factory reset. I did one by mistake when I upgraded my firmware but I think it was for the better since I decided what I really wanted installed.
