I know this has been beat to death on every forum I can find.   Some games like Angry Birds and Stupid Zombies won't install.  All of them say basically the same thing.  Delete the smdl2tmp1.asec file in .android_secure. Thats great but first I need to see it before I can delete it.  Here is what I've done to no avail.
unmounted sd card, removed sd card, use pc to access .android_secure on sd card (file is empty) formatted sd card both through phone and pc. cleared market cache and data. I was having other problems with the phone so the dealer (Viaero) did a factory reset. I figured this would clear things up.  I was wrong. So I bought a new sd card...still have problem  I downloaded Angry birds APK file. Put it in the "My Files"  still won't install. I have literally tried every "fix" I can find.  Downloaded several file managers to find the alleged file, no luck.
I'm not comfortable rooting the phone myself as I really don't want to brick my phone because I misread or misunderstood a step.
I still love the phone.  And this little annoyance doesn't tarnish that.
BUT if anyone has a solution I haven't tried please speak up!!  If you think rooting the phone will work, I need a step-by-step, dumbed down, no geek speak bersion pointed out to me.  Pics would be nice too  LOL

Thank you -- this forum  is a GREAT source of info
