Hey guys, I just got my Galaxy about 2 weeks ago. I cant seem to get it into recovery mode. I rebooted and held the volume up button and power and home and it just goes back to regular screen. I also tried holding the volume buttons and power button after rebooting as well. Can someone please help out very frustrating!!

A few weeks ago, I tried to do a firmware upgrade through Kies but it failed to complete properly. I tried to go into recovery to revive the phone by holding the volume, the home and the power button as instructed but IT NEVER WENT INTO RECOVERY MODE. Brought it back to where it was bought. They also tried to put it in recovery mode but they were not able too. Finally, they exchanged the phone. Now I'm dead scared of trying to do a firmware update.... I'm going to wait until Samsung gets a more stable version of Kies or something because at this point the whole thing is buggy and quite unstable in my opinion.

Mine never gets to the stylish s. It just flashes i9000m until I let go....No rooting for me I guess.
