Invoke the phone, enter the number, push the button on the lower right corner on the dial pad (instead of the usual lower left for voice calls). If the button is not available, then maybe you're not connected to a 3G/UMTS network...?

Sure do. Look at this:

The green button on the lower right is the video call button. Are you saying the screen looks different on your phone? Are you sure you got a Samsung Galaxy S...?

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this board so Hello. I just bought my Samsung Galaxy S two days ago on the Bell network and I'm trying to use the Video Calling feature with a friend who also bought the same phone and is also on Bell. Everytime we try to do a video call with each other (over Wifi) we get the message "Unable to make video call". Does anyone know why and how to resolve this.

I am that friend.
We've tried some of the apps associated with making these calls, like
FRING
resulted in bAD audio and only the back cameras being used. could not fidn a way to make the front facing cameras work.

Video cal Button
resulted in error that most of us see, Unable to complete the call

Qik
is just for video messaging, but again, when I tried it, all it would do is use the back camera, not the front facing and the setup options would not allow me to change cameras. Anyone else get that?

Will, did we try any others?

For users on BELL in Ontario, you need to pay for an additional Service called Bell Video CALL.

It is just $5 per month for UNLIMITED VIDEO calling to anyone else on BELL VIDEO CALL. It also allows a user with facebook and a Webcam to call you from their PC direct to your Samsung phone.

I use a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant with the Bell Viedo CALL feature and have used it from facebook and also Samsung to Samsung. Works, but has some lag, but it is a vision of the future!

Note BELL Video Call does NOT use your minutes or DATA plan!
