Using the e-mail application, I can receive and send e-mails via my Hotmail address.

Yet, at some point, after deleting old mails from the inbox or the oubox, they all end up in the trash box.

And with time, the trash box needs to be emptied. And there start the problems !
It takes forever to delete just 1 e-mail and if I try to delete many at the same time, the whole thing crashes !

I have tried repeatedly and it always end up like this.

Anyone knows how to proceed ?

Have the same problem. It does not seem to work, that app. Is there other apps on the market? Then you can delete the faulty app...

No other working app on the market.

I have the feeling that Android being Google, they do their best to make life miserable for Hotmail (Microsoft) users, so that they opt for Google mail.

What about emptying the trash on line from a computer? I've got yahoo mail app and use POP as well as gmail and don't have any problems with deleting files.

This is not possible because once you use the e-mail app, it creates folders (inbox, outbox, trash...) which are separated from the original Hotmail folders.

So the content of my inbox or trash in my mobile is not the same as the one on my computer where I directly access Hotmail.

This is why this app is a mess. And unfortunately there is no alternative for the moment.

What about checking to see if there is an option to not download from server? I know with yahoo client the mail stays on the web (annoying at times) and with POP it stays on the server until I download to computer (then when I refresh the email, messages are gone). Is there an option in the app? Or in Hotmail?
