Are you connecting to a work one? You may have to contact the IT department in order to get permission to use. I've tried using the webmail access to connect like I did with my winmo phone but it doesn't work anymore because of changes in Exchange security protocols not because of android.

I'm also having the exact same problem.  I've talked to my IT staff, and even conferenced them into calls with T-mobile customer service, but I'm still unable to connect my Microsoft Exchange email account to my new phone.

Help??!

I had the same problem. Could not connect to exchange from work. Even though it was allowed.

Result: got a tip from a colleague telling me to use Touchdown (payable app with trial).
Works fine if you're patient;crashes often and is very slow but does have all your outlook functionalities). I still have Android 2.1, so you might consider upgrading first before giving it a try. Hopefully it works better with the newer Android version.

Touchdown didn't work for me either.  I ended up getting an iPhone - works quite well.

There some setting that could be helpfull for configuration  ,

1 .  DOMIN name most likely in capital latter .
2.   You should check domin name and user name with your IT person , and formate should
      be like  (  DOMINname/username  )
3.   server url / email id  ,  / password .
4.   must check security servics if your account is credintial by one of them , SSL/TLS  (confirm with your IT person )

it will work if does not , reset your device then configure account ,

My friend is looking for Exchange Online for his company. We don’t know if online exchange is cloud based or what the difference is between the two? Should he go for hosted exchange or could based one?
