How do I log out of Gmail?

goto applications>>settings>>wireless and network>>mobile networks >> uncheck the box of "use packet data" option . and your whole data network will be stopped resulting in exiting internet utilities such as gmail , youtube etc .

 

Hey guys, just go to your gmail accounts change your password and turn off and on your phone... it does work!

After an overnight of confusion and disappointment with Google knuckle brains, I did what any smart person would do rather than struggling with a no way around their ineptness and luck of common sense. I guess too much computer turn some people building apps a little retarded. Anyway, I did the simple thing<>I know some of you will cry out loud and claim you still want to use Google! But why should you  (as some foolish human being like to say, frustrate yourselves when) keep trying when you already know Google has not resolved the issue? Just change your password, forget about gmail, and use yahoo, and log out, as simple as that. I'll find a way to redirect all my email from gmail to yahoo, so I don't face the same stupidity of Google apps builders.

I just spent all weekend trying to figure this out and my husband just found it.  You will not have to reset the phone.  Reset your email password, then try to sync the email thru your settings.  It will not let you because obviously you are not signed in with the right password.  Then drag down the menu from the top where you get your notifications, it will have a notification that email cannot sync because the wrong password is not entered.  tap that notification and it will prompt you to enter the new password.
