Hey everybody. Every time I try to install an application to my galaxy s, I get an error message saying "For your security, your phone is set to block installation of applications not sourced in Android Market". The weird thing is that the app I'm trying to install IS in the Android Market, even though it says it isn't. Any ideas? I also checked to make sure that the version of the app matches the version of the app in the market. Any ideas will be appreciated. How can I bypass that message?

Do you mean when you install an app from Marketplace you get the message? or when you try to install .apk file?

If you're not download directly from the Market, try goto [Settings] > [Applications] > and check Unknown sources.

I don't have an option under Settings>Applications that says that. The only option I have that sounds similar is "Allow Mock Locations" and that doesn't change anything.

Go back one step. I did not tell you to go into "Development", just [Settings] then [Applications] and you'll see this.....

Are you running on a custom firmware?

What is your firmware version?

I can't think of anything I have done that would affect that part of my phone, I got it maybe 1 week ago so I couldn't have messed things up that bad. Idk why I don't have that option.

How can that be?

Maybe try searching in other sections of the "Settings".
