hi there
try this :
settings >> privacy >> factory data reset

or
power off and then  :
press and hold volume up + then home key + and then power.

after about 4 sec the phone should enter recovery mode where you can select
wipe data / factory reset.

either way should work

I've tried going through the recovery settings, and the settings under privacy and its a no go. When i go through the recovery choices and choose to restore it says:
E: Cant mount/dev/block/mmcblk02
(No such file or directory)
E:copy_data_default_apk:Cant mount data:

VI menu for format and reboot.
I dont know what the VI menu is, any more help would be appreciated. Also sorry it took so long to reply I just have been so busy with homework.

You need to select Wipe Data/ factory Reset.

Can you goto Settings -> About -> Build.

Tell me what you see there.

Then goto the Dialer and type *#1234#

Tell me what you see there.

Peace.

Something is wrong with your device.

Can you contact the previous owner and ask him what he did to it?

I know its been a long time but i fixed it a while back and forgot to post about it. I fixed mine by updating the firmware which cleaned out all the accounts and made it possible for me to put my own in.
