Recently in Kies, I noticed a change in the firmware upgrade box from "no updates available" to "this model cannot be upgraded" Updating Kies hasn't worked, and the other firmware upgrade software is incompatible with my computer. Please help.

Model Nº: GT-I9000T
Firmware: 2.1-update1
Baseband: I9000TDVJH3
Kernel: 2.6.29
Build Nº: ECLAIR.DVJH3

Computer:

Maybe you could try downloading the Kies software from samsung's site and try updating your phone from there.

Already tried that, and that is what changed it from no updates available to cannot be updated

Update became available to me in Kies on 30 November.  I'm with Dodo using Optus.  Before that date I got the "this model can't be upgraded" message in Kies.

I know FroYo for optus aus is available, however that is the I9000, mine's the I9000T, the modified telstra version.

Most noticeable difference is that in the notifications pull-down menu, I have GPS where yours has Silent.
The build number is different. Mine is eclair.DVJH3.
