I'm just back from a cruise where I decided to try using the GPS. I took some pictures & when viewed in them in gallery it had the lat/long coordinates displayed along with both the street name & number. When I selected more & selected place on may it correctly showed the location an Google maps. That was great but a few other pictures when asked to place on the may showed that the pictures were taken hundreds of kilometers off the east coast of Japan which meant that the location was wrong by thousands of kilometers. Could the phone only gotten one coordinate & not the other? Why was this so wrong?
The cruise shuttle bus dropped me off at some central location & I was supposed to be picked up at the same spot later on. Being in a strange town it was great to see where I was located in the city. What I could not see but suspect should be able to do was for me to say save the location where I got dropped off at & then later on ask for directions back to where I started from. Can this be done & if so how?
Thanks in advance
